I do not care about cosmetics unless its a game I really and truly love and want to support the devs even more. You can read about this bombshell from their official announcement at the time: However, their dire situation forced them to do so. In fact, they had made a promise that they wouldn't release any further paid DLC for Payday 2. They were forced to restart development for Payday 2 in order to get some positive cash flow. Then Overkill's The Walking Dead absolutely bombed, there was insider trading lawsuits, the company went into restructuring it was a bad time to be Overkill. There were, at the time, no further plans to continue live support for Payday 2. Legacy Collection (back then it was called the Ultimate Edition) was the complete bundle for everything. Development stopped in 2018, and it was supposed to stop there. But with a new sequel out, I wonder if they will try to support both. I am unsure which pack would get me all(if applicable) normal game content, or at least which one is the best choice of purchase to get into the game.Īny suggestions would be welcome as well if its best to buy singular specific packs. I see there is currently 4 bundles to buy.Īll of which seem to have various heists, weapon packs, tailor packs, soundtracks, and more.

My question is, should I go ahead and get this game, or wait till the new one comes out and buy that instead?Īnd if I do purchase this, which bundle would be the best to purchase? I would prefer to have access to all the guns, missions(heists?) and mechanics as possible. I am assuming it will be more or less a similar, if not much of the same game, with better content, as most sequels try to do. That being said, I have heard that the new game comes out this year. I have a few friends who have played it sparingly, but never got into it fully.

I have no experience with this game personally.
